Synopsis:
John Frankenheimer's satire of the gangster film, 99 AND 44/100% DEAD, opens with elderly mobster Uncle Frank Kelly (played by Edmond O'Brien) hiring reputed hit man Harry Crown (played by Richard Harris) to kill his enemy, Big Eddie (played by Bradford Dillman). This film is a black comedy, featuring Chuck Connors as a one-handed psycho killer who can fit various deadly weapons on his stumpy arm. The setting is vaguely futuristic and there are so many surprises no one can ever be sure how to react to each scene. Fans of satire as well as fans of mafia films will enjoy this movie's combination of the genres.
